Matchday 31 | Slaven Bilic’s West Brom extend their lead at top after beating Millwall. Train delays (#StormCiara?) meant I arrived 25 min after kick-off but.. #millwallfc supporters certainly lived up to their reputation. Met some away fans who travelled without their #wba jerseys to avoid harassment (necessary). Heavy police presence all around the stadium (necessary). Intense atmosphere where every call against Millwall was met with a roar of boos and profanity, and every spell of possession was met with enthusiastic cheers and applause. Credit to the away fans too, who were increasingly loud after the first goal. #TheDen has its seats very close to the pitch, so you can imagine how the referees went through an absolutely brutal afternoon. The pitch was heavily damaged by the rain and the ball spent a lot of time in the air. The teams matched up well physically but West Brom had the clear difference in quality.
